We believe that every event is unique and should be treated as such. The Great House caters to any need ranging from a gathering for 8 or a group as large as 120 persons.
Due to its attractive setting, The Great House is the ideal space for weddings, cocktail parties, and business functions. In addition to the main dining room, there is a private dining room, a large verandah, a terrace and a lounge. Tell us what your needs are and we will customize a plan and menu for your event. Audio and visual equipment can be provided at an additional cost.
Cocktail Receptions
Cocktail receptions usually take place on the verandah, where your guests have an astonishing view over Smugglers’ Cove complete with fabulous sunset in the evenings. For small groups, we offer our Lounge or Bar areas. Our canapés differ from the usual, and are served on a small plate, a spoon, a fork or in a shot glass.
Lunch & Dinner Events
Our lunch & dinner menus are specially prepared to suit your specific needs. Depending on your preference, we create either a set menu or a choice menu of limited items. We also provide a buffet-style lunch or dinner—the possibilities are endless.
Chef's Table
Ever wanted to see behind the scenes at a restaurant? Consider hosting an intimate gathering of friends in The Great House’s kitchen and experience Jeroen in action as he creates each plate. Available for groups of up to six people.
Private Cooking Class
If you are looking for a fun group activity or want to hone your culinary skills, the Great House offers hands-on cooking classes. At the end of the class you take home a specially embroidered The Great House chef’s jacket!
